How to become a Mature Christian-

Intro. Some things about Babies-
 1) Babies are Destructive-
 2) Babies are Dependent-
 3) Babies are Demonically Influenced!- Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in      sin did my mother conceive me.

   I. Grow Up!- vs. 1 “Therefore” (this give reference to vs 12-14 of Chapter 5)
      A) Educated Right- vs. 12
      B) Eat Right- vs. 12
      C) Exercise Right- vs. 14

   II. Go Forward!- vs. 1 “let us go on unto perfection”
      A) Clime Higher- Josh. 14:6-12 Caleb 85 years Old vs.12 “Now therefore give me this            mountain”
      B) Dig Deeper- Gen. 28:18 “Isaac digged again the wells of water”
      C) Build Bigger- Nehemiah 4:17 They which builded on the wall, and they that bare            burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work,            and with the other hand held a weapon.
      D) Go Further-

   III. Get it Settled!- vs. 4-6
      A) Have you ever Seen your Need- vs. 4 “who were once enlightened”
      B) Are you Sealed by the Holy Spirit- vs. 4 “and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost”
      C) Saved Forever- vs. 4 “For it is impossible” vs. 6 “to renew them again unto            repentance” Why? Because once your saved, your Sealed until the day of redemption!

   IV. Get Busy!- vs. 9-12
      A) Salvation is not the End- vs. 9 “and things that accompany salvation”
      B) Service will be Rewarded- vs. 10 “God is not unrighteous to forget your work and           labour of love”
      C) Slothfulness can NOT be tolerated- vs. 12 “That ye be not slothful”
          Idleness and Sloth leads to Poverty, Want, Hunger, Bondage, Disappointment, Ruin,           Tattling and meddling.

Conclusion- Grace is Sufficient!- vs. 13-20
   2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is    made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that    the power of Christ may rest upon me.
