“Be A Man!”

I. Be a Man in your Family-
   a) Love is Commanded of a MAN- Eph. 5:17-33
   b) A Man is Loyal to his Companion- Pro. 5:15-19
   c) A Man is to Labor for Christ-
       1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own        house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
       2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if        any would not work, neither should he eat.
   d) A Man must Lead with Consistency-
       James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

II. Be A Man in the Fight - Ezekiel 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
   a) A Man Show Valor in Warfare-
       1Corinthians 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
       Valour- Strength of mind in regard to danger; that quality which enables a man to        encounter danger with firmness; personal bravery; courage
   b) A Man is Victorious in Worship!-
       1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord        Jesus Christ.
   c) A Man is Vigilant again Wickedness-
       1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,        walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

III. Be A Man in the Faith- Heb. 11
   a) A man will Sacrifice like Able (vs. 4) and Abraham (vs. 8)
   b) A man will Sanctify Himself like Enoch (vs. 5)
   c) A man will Surrender like Noah (vs. 7) Gen. “Noah DID ALL”
   d) A man will Set-Sail like Abraham (vs. 8)
   e) A man will Suffer like Moses (vs. 23)

IV. Be A Man in the Fire- 1 Pet. 4:12
   a) Men understand the Purpose- vs. 13 “partakers of Christ’s sufferings”
   b) Men undergo with Patience- vs. 13 “Rejoice...be glad...with exceeding joy”
   c) Men ultimately are Purified- vs. 19 “commit the keeping of their souls to him”
